u3a members will be encouraged to prepare & present a 45 min talk on an interesting & broadly technical topic, using Powerpoint (or similar) slides.

Talks will be on a variety of subjects, loosely based on expertise gained through careers or hobbies, and geared to relate to everyday issues.

The first talk will be about Adhesives – their history, why there are so many different types, why they (usually) stick, and the stunning improvements in performance over the last century.

Second talk will be about waste water treatment.
