Six topics:
Each session will be around 45 minutes talk with slides, followed by a short break and 45 minutes of questions and/or open discussion.
- Chemistry - History, Creation of Periodic Table & Introduction to Chemical Bonds
- Physics - History, Atomic Structure & Nuclear Energy. How reactions are started & sustained.
- Forces & Motion - History, unravelling the topics through astronomy. How we know so much, but why it is so difficult to get off the Earth.
- Materials Science - Introduction, properties of various materials, and how structures are designed. Examples from the development of Aircraft.
- Energy & Power - Understanding utility bills, and keeping warm indoors.
- Climate Change - Fact or Fiction? And who gains?
There is no need for any prior scientific knowledge and there will no Mathematics involved.
